Chinese Toilets, supplemental pictures for Schenewark Star

Attached to this blog are pictures of Chinese squat toilets which will greet the average visitor to the Olympic games. Some are fancier then others. The one with a blue color floor is a squat toilet on a train. If you have ever ridden on a train, can you imagine how difficult that would be to use. I include a portable toilet picture. Do you see the foot prints that serve as a guide for the user. There are some funny stories surrounding this mode of relief venues, I will have to share them at a later time.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad! My children picked these out as some of their favorite pictures. Obviously missing from these two pictures is one of my favorite physical characteristics of my father: The twitch. As I grew older, and started to recognize his "tell," I knew that if there was a glimmer of "the twitch," then I didn't need to worry about him being upset. I'm convinced if he did play poker, this would be his tell on holding the royal flush. I see him twitch, and it makes me smile and feel giggly, which is what remembering birthdays is all about. I love you!

Schoolwork on Sunday

Tanner needed to pick flowers for a science project, involving classification and flower pressing. I told him to save it for Sunday. It's a nice thing to do in the spring in Texas. I did not know Sawyer would try to jump over the ditch, several times, and miss on purpose, but other than that, it was an honorable activity :-)
